In Shaman Jon Rasmussen's YouTube video from his website The Soul Algorithm, he discusses the unique and powerful shamanic lineage of the Q'ero people of Peru, highlighting its 15,000-year history. He contrasts this ancient tradition with more recent spiritual practices, emphasizing the cumulative power built up through generations of rituals and ceremonies. He explains how this energy manifests in miraculous healings and connections to multiple dimensions. The speaker further connects his own shamanic practice to this lineage, describing experiences demonstrating its power and non-local effects. Finally, he promotes his services and encourages viewers to explore this tradition further.

All right, let's dive in. Today we're exploring something uh pretty fascinating, you know, shamanic lineages and all that.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01And this idea of uh miraculous results, which okay, sounds a bit out there, but stick with me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna be looking at uh the work of shaman John Rasmussen.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01He's got this uh recent YouTube video and a blog post.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01Both of them are about the power and history of these shamanic traditions. Especially uh one lineage called the Cairo from Peru.
SPEAKER_00The Cairo Yeah, exactly. Interesting.
SPEAKER_01And what really got me, you know, hooked on this whole thing is that John's saying these aren't just, you know, ancient traditions fading away.
SPEAKER_00Oh, really?
SPEAKER_01No, he's arguing that people are still being born and trained in these traditions.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_01Like even today, which is pretty mind-blowing when you think about it.
SPEAKER_00That is that is pretty amazing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it really makes you wonder how do these ancient spiritual practices, you know, impact us in the modern world.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Like what's the connection?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean it begs the question.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. One of the first things that jumped out at me when I was digging into this was John's emphasis on uh cumulative practice.
SPEAKER_00Cumulative practice.
SPEAKER_01He's talking about how like mantras and prayers and rituals practiced for literally thousands of years.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_01Build up a sort of energetic power, you know.
SPEAKER_00That's really interesting. And you know what? This idea of cumulative practice, it's not just in shamanism. You see it in a lot of different spiritual traditions. You think about, for instance, uh Buddhist chanting, where they're repeating specific sounds, and it's believed to uh create a certain resonance that extends beyond, you know, just the individual. Oh, interesting. Or in Qigong, where they're doing very precise movements and breath work over years and years and years to cultivate and direct energy within the body.
SPEAKER_01So it's like each repetition is laying down another layer of well, I don't even know, something, you know, almost like you're building a structure but with energy instead of bricks.
SPEAKER_00That's a great analogy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Think about it this way.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00How do you become really good at something? Like how do you become proficient at playing an instrument or mastering a sport or even learning a new language?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's that consistent, right, dedicated practice.
SPEAKER_01Practice, practice, practice.
SPEAKER_00Over time, that creates tangible results. Matterly. And in a way, these ancient shamanic practices, they operate on a similar principle. Oh, okay. But instead of, you know, physical skills, they're cultivating energetic and spiritual ones.
SPEAKER_01That makes sense. It helps to kind of ground it in something that we're more familiar with, you know?
SPEAKER_00Right, exactly.
SPEAKER_01So okay, let's get into uh this Carol lineage specifically.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01John says it's at least 15,000 years old.
SPEAKER_0015,000 years.
SPEAKER_01At least.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_01And it's been passed down directly from teacher to student. So you have this unbroken chain stretching back to like the last ice age.
SPEAKER_00That's incredible.
SPEAKER_01It's pretty amazing, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. The fact that they've preserved and practiced their traditions for millennia.
SPEAKER_01It's mind-boggling.
SPEAKER_00It's potentially one of the oldest continuous shamanic lineages that we know of. Oh wow. And it really speaks volumes about the power and resilience of this knowledge, I think.
SPEAKER_01Aaron Powell Totally. It makes you wonder what kind of insights they've gained over such a vast expanse of time.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01One thing that I thought was really interesting too is that they use what might seem like simple tools, you know? Like stones and natural objects.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01Which seems so different from what we see in some modern religions with their elaborate imagery and all of that. Trevor Burrus, Jr.
SPEAKER_00It's easy to kind of uh fall into that trap of viewing those tools as primitive versus sophisticated. Right. But I think that misses the point entirely. Totally. Because the carocosmology from what John describes is actually incredibly complex. Really? They work with multiple dimensions and unseen energies. Wow. And they have this profound understanding of their connection to nature.
SPEAKER_01Interesting.
SPEAKER_00Think of it like this. A skilled surgeon can perform, you know, life-saving procedures with a relatively small set of tools. Yeah. That's true. It's not about the complexity of the tools themselves. Okay. It's about the knowledge and skill of the practitioner using them.
SPEAKER_01I like that. Right. That's a great analogy. Yeah. Okay, so let's get to the heart of it.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01These miraculous results that John keeps mentioning.
SPEAKER_00Right, right.
SPEAKER_01He claims these shamanic practices work on the very core of our being. The soul itself.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Which is a pretty bold statement, wouldn't you say?
SPEAKER_00It is. And I think it's always healthy to approach any kind of claim like that with a discerning mind.
SPEAKER_01Be skeptical. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01But at the same time, there's a lot of, you know, anecdotal evidence and personal accounts out there of people experiencing profound shifts in their lives through various, you know, spiritual practices.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Whether it's shamanism or energy healing or um deep meditative states. Yeah. We may not fully understand like the mechanisms at play. Yeah. But uh it seems like the potential for transformation is definitely there.
SPEAKER_00For sure.
SPEAKER_01You know? Yeah. And John uses this really uh vivid phrase. He talks about how the Cairo work to reorganize the luminous architecture of the soul.
SPEAKER_00Luminous architecture. Yeah. What a phrase.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah. It just makes you wonder like what does that even look like?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01And uh what parts of ourselves could be influenced by such you know profound practices.
SPEAKER_00Aaron Ross Powell Well think about it this way.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Imagine your soul, not as like this static thing, but as a dynamic structure, a luminous blueprint that holds, you know, the essence of who you are. Right. And this structure, this architecture, can be influenced by experiences, traumas, limiting beliefs, even ancestral patterns.
SPEAKER_01Interesting.
SPEAKER_00So what if these shamanic practices through their you know energetic work and connection to the spiritual realm could help to realign, repattern, or even rebuild this luminous architecture. Wow. Could that lead to profound shifts in our sense of self, our health, our relationships, and even our very perception of reality.
SPEAKER_01It's pretty mind-blowing when you think about it.
SPEAKER_00It's a captivating idea, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. And this is where it gets really interesting for me.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01John talks about the non-local nature of shamanic work.
SPEAKER_00Non-local.
SPEAKER_01Meaning it can happen outside of our typical understanding of time and space.
SPEAKER_00Oh wow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. He shares these stories of people experiencing healing in their dreams. Or even before meeting him in person.
SPEAKER_00Interesting.
SPEAKER_01Like, whoa.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. This concept of non-locality is something that, you know, modern science is still grappling with.
SPEAKER_01Oh, really?
SPEAKER_00We see uh hints of it in quantum physics.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Where entangled particles seem to communicate instantaneously, regardless of distance.
SPEAKER_01That's wild.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And we also see echoes of it in various ancient traditions. Right. Including shamanism, where the boundaries of what we perceive as reality become more fluid, you know?
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. That's interesting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it really makes you think.
SPEAKER_00It does.
SPEAKER_01Have you ever had an experience that felt outside of ordinary time or space?
SPEAKER_00Like what?
SPEAKER_01Maybe a premonition.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01Or a vivid dream that felt incredibly real.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Or a moment of knowing something before it happened.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think uh I think many of us have had those like fleeting glimpses of something beyond our everyday perception. Exactly. And perhaps as we, you know, delve deeper into this world of shamanic practices, we might uncover more about the true nature of these experiences and uh their implications for healing, transformation, and our understanding of reality itself.
SPEAKER_01Right, right. It's a whole other world out there. It really is. That we're just starting to peek into.
SPEAKER_00It's pretty exciting. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01And it's like John's not, you know, presenting himself as this isolated mystic figure or anything. He sees himself as part of this long lineage of practitioners.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_01Not just like, you know, a lone individual.
SPEAKER_00Aaron Powell That's a really um key point, I think, because it highlights the importance of lineage in these traditions, this unbroken chain of knowledge, you know, passed down from teacher to student over generations.
SPEAKER_01Aaron Powell It's pretty remarkable.
SPEAKER_00And it also kind of speaks to this idea that um these ancient practices aren't, you know, stagnant or fixed. Yeah. They're living traditions that continue to evolve as they're passed on, you know.
SPEAKER_01So it's not like they're stuck in the past.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_01They're still relevant today.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And it suggests that these ancient traditions are finding their place in our modern world. Totally. You know, there are people all over the globe who are training in these practices and um keeping this knowledge alive and uh adapting it to our current times.
SPEAKER_01Which is really interesting, right.
SPEAKER_00It is.
SPEAKER_01Because it makes you wonder what these ancient practices might offer us in our modern world.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01With all its complexities and challenges. Could they provide like a different lens through which to view our problems?
SPEAKER_00It's possible.
SPEAKER_01Or maybe offer tools for healing and transformation that we haven't fully tapped into yet.
SPEAKER_00That's a great point.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And speaking of uh different traditions interacting, John tells this fascinating story about Master Jong.
SPEAKER_00Master Jiang.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she's a Qigong master.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01And she has this uh incredibly powerful experience at the Cairo Mesa in Peru.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_01It's almost like um a recognition or a resonance between her practice and the Caro traditions.
SPEAKER_00Interesting.
SPEAKER_01Even though they come from like such vastly different backgrounds.
SPEAKER_00That's really uh that story really speaks to me because it suggests this potential convergence of wisdom traditions, like a common thread that runs through these, you know, seemingly diverse practices.
SPEAKER_01It's fascinating, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's almost as if there's uh a deeper truth, a universal language of energy and spirit that transcends cultural boundaries and historical differences.
SPEAKER_01Aaron Powell So it's like there's something that connects them all.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01That's really cool. It makes you wonder like how can we learn more about these ancient lineages and the uh the individuals who are keeping them alive today?
SPEAKER_00Aaron Powell That's a great question.
SPEAKER_01Are there resources, you know, books, organizations that can kind of guide us?
SPEAKER_00There are certainly uh resources available for people who are, you know, curious. Right. The internet can be a starting point. Yeah. Although it's important to be, you know, discerning and look for reputable sources.
SPEAKER_01Be careful what you read online.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Yeah. Um you can also explore, you know, organizations dedicated to preserving indigenous knowledge or even uh seek out workshops and retreats led by, you know, experienced practitioners.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_00The key is to approach this exploration with an open mind and a respectful curiosity.
SPEAKER_01I like that. Right. Okay, so this is a lot to unpack.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But here's what's standing out to me so far.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01The power of uh cumulative practice building up over time, yeah. The incredible lineage of the Carol Shamans, the potential for uh profound personal transformation. Right. And the fact that these traditions are very much alive and evolving in our modern world.
SPEAKER_00Aaron Powell And what I find so compelling is that these ideas they really challenge us to reconsider our assumptions about reality, healing, and our own potential. Right. You know, it encourages us to embrace a more expansive view of ourselves and the world around us.
SPEAKER_01And John leaves us with this uh really thought-provoking quote from the Caro. He says, We're here not only to grow corn, grow porn, but to grow gods.
SPEAKER_00But to grow gods.
SPEAKER_01What do you uh what do you make of that?
SPEAKER_00It's a powerful statement, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it really is.
SPEAKER_00It suggests that our our purpose extends beyond, you know, just mere survival and uh material pursuits. Yeah. It hints at a potential for spiritual growth, for reaching a higher level of consciousness, okay, for becoming something more than what we currently believe ourselves to be.
SPEAKER_01It's like we're being challenged to step into a greater version of ourselves.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01To tap into like a divine potential that's already within us. Absolutely. But what does it actually mean to grow gods?
SPEAKER_00Well, perhaps it's about cultivating qualities like compassion, wisdom, and interconnectedness. Right. Maybe it's about, you know, recognizing that spark of divinity within ourselves and nurturing that spark until it kind of illuminates our entire being. I see. Or perhaps it's about um aligning ourselves with a greater purpose with uh a cosmic dance that connects us to something far vaster than our individual selves.
SPEAKER_01Aligning with a cosmic dance. Yeah. I love that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It ties into this idea that these ancient traditions, yeah, far from being, you know, relics of the past, might hold valuable insights for our present and future. Right. They offer, you know, a different way of seeing the world, a different way of being in the world. One that emphasizes, you know, connection, wholeness, and the power of the unseen.
SPEAKER_01I see.
SPEAKER_00And that's what makes this deep dive so fascinating. Right. So mind expanding. Totally. It opens up a realm of possibilities and invites us to explore those possibilities with, you know, curiosity and an open heart.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_00And maybe that's the most uh crucial point for our listener. Stay curious, keep exploring, and remember that um the journey of discovery is just as important as the destination.
SPEAKER_01Beautifully said.
SPEAKER_00This has been uh an incredible deep dive into uh shamanic lineages and the potential they hold for you know profound transformation. Totally. We've explored the power of cumulative practice, right, the significance of lineage, the potential for miraculous results, and the uh enduring relevance of these traditions in our modern world.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00And it's clear that there's still so much more to discover.
SPEAKER_01So much more to discover. It all circles back to that question, you know. Yeah what does it mean to grow gods?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01It's a challenge.
SPEAKER_00It is.
SPEAKER_01It's an invitation to step into our fullest potential to embrace a more expansive view of who we are and what we're capable of.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's like uh a call to action almost. Yeah. Like we're being nudged to you know, explore those uh heading corners of ourselves, yeah, yeah. See what might bloom when we uh when we nurture that you know, that god within.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And maybe it's not just about uh individual growth, you know. What if it's also about recognizing our interconnectedness? If we're all, you know, yeah capable of this of growing gods, right? Does that imply a collective potential as well? A shift in consciousness that, you know, ripples outward.
SPEAKER_01Now you're really making my head spin.
SPEAKER_00It's a big idea.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's like John's throwing down a gauntlet.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Daring us to rethink, you know, our place in the universe.
SPEAKER_00Aaron Powell And maybe that's the point. Shamanism, like at its core, yeah, often challenges our everyday perceptions of reality. So what if what we consider, you know, supernatural or miraculous today is simply a glimpse into aspects of reality that we haven't fully grasped yet. Trevor Burrus, Jr.
SPEAKER_01It's a whole other way of looking at things. Trevor Burrus, Jr.
SPEAKER_00It really is.
SPEAKER_01It makes you wonder like what future generations will uncover as they uh as they continue to explore these ancient traditions.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01What possibilities might they unlock?
SPEAKER_00Aaron Powell Imagine a future where um these ancient practices aren't seen as you know something other than as a valuable part of our you know collective human heritage.
SPEAKER_01Trevor Burrus Right, right.
SPEAKER_00Perhaps they'll find um even deeper connections between these, you know, seemingly disparate traditions, weaving together this uh richer understanding of the interconnectedness of all things.
SPEAKER_01Aaron Powell That would be amazing.
SPEAKER_00It would be pretty incredible.
SPEAKER_01Aaron Powell And maybe, just maybe, you know, they'll confirm that the power to grow gods isn't something out there, but something that resides within each and every one of us.
SPEAKER_00Aaron Powell What a fascinating thought to leave our listener with.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. The potential for transformation, for growth, for connection.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01It's all there. It is waiting to be explored.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And to our listener, I encourage you, you know, don't just take our word for it. Dive into these topics yourself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, do your own research.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Explore the work of, you know, Shaman John Rasmussen and others like him. See what resonates with you, what sparks your curiosity, what uh challenges your assumptions. I like that. Remember, the journey of discovery is a personal one. It is. There's no right or wrong path. Right. Only the path that uh resonates with your own, you know, unique soul. Beautifully said. And with that, we wrap up this uh deep dive into shamanic lineages and the potential for you know miraculous results.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, we hope.
SPEAKER_00We hope it's uh sparked your curiosity and inspired you to, you know, embark on your own journey of exploration.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Until next time.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Keep seeking learning.
SPEAKER_01Keep growing those gods within.
SPEAKER_00Awesome. Thanks for joining us, everyone.
